Dave Levinson involved his daughters in making these notes and writing these messages of kindness.

Page 13: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Dave Harrison had the great idea of encouraging his children to embrace caring for homeless people as their scout project.

Page 14: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

By doing this they are teaching future generations to care.

Among the many things donated by Framingham Police Detective Macaudde was this blanket knit by her nana specifically for the homeless.

One sock at a time, so many people behind them

Page 22: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Gift cards purchased with your contributions and donated by loyal friends.

Page 23: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 24: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

These are not just cards, they give the dignity of being able to walk into a store and buy your own food.

Page 25: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 26: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Loyal friends like Brigit Gassner, Dave Levinson and Heather Pelletier, among others, continue to make this happen.

We continue bribing Lisa with cake because without her we would be lost.

So many people to thank.

that she and her children

made.

We begin to assemble the “care packages.”

Page 49: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Volunteers become a family affair.

Page 50: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

We receive help from Belinda’s mother and sister, who also collected donations from their friends.

Page 51: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Our two new angels for the team

Page 52: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Adding final touches

Page 53: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Each bag contains sandwiches, cheese, beef jerky, crackers, cookies…

Page 54: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

…lip balm for broken lips, a treasure from Ann, Vietnamese

interpreter …

Page 55: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

…hand and foot warmers to survive, holiday cakes to warm the heart…

Page 56: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

And a message

Page 57: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 58: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

We boiled water for soup, oatmeal and hot cocoa.

Page 59: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

things And loaded the van with all the items people donated.

Page 61: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

It took all afternoon. When we finished, the van was so full…

Page 62: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 63: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

we barely fit inside ourselves.

Page 64: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Ready to go

Page 65: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 66: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 67: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Then we headed to Boston

Page 68: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Christmas lights were shining brightly in downtown Boston,

Page 69: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

But the streets were deserted.

Page 70: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 71: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

But if you look a little more closely

Page 72: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Where only a flashlight can reach

Page 73: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Behind the designer stores…

Page 74: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 75: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Living among the trash and the rats…

Page 76: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 77: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

you’ll find another world out there.

Page 78: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 79: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

We had to make sure people were prepared for the blizzard that was coming in a few hours.

Page 80: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 81: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Getting stopped by so many, desperate for hot soup and food.

Page 82: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

The importance of taking a few moments to talk, to laugh, to celebrate the holidays.

Page 83: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 84: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 85: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Not far from the glow of the City’s Christmas trees…

Page 86: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Men lay asleep out on the open sidewalk, yet invisible to the world.

Page 87: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Many had no idea that a blizzard was coming. They were completely unprepared.

Page 88: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Your donations likely saved the lives of many

this Christmas.

Page 89: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 90: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Other people knew what was coming but felt they had no other option.

Page 91: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

We tried to make sure they were as safe as possible.

Page 92: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

This Christmas, thanks to your support, we found 51 people living on the streets.

Page 93: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 94: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

According to the City of Boston, there are 168 more we did not meet.

Page 95: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 96: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 97: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

Trying on her new shoes

Page 98: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

People were grateful for the blankets, clothing and gift cards they received.

Page 99: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

They settled in for the night a little bit warmer and a little less hungry.

Page 100: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

If you ever wonder if things you do make a difference…

Page 101: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

…know that on this night, on these streets, for these men and women…

Page 102: EASE Homeless for the Holidays
Page 103: EASE Homeless for the Holidays

You have made a genuine difference.

This is just the beginning of so much more to come, as long as you stand by us.

So many people contributed blankets, coats, clothing, food, gift cards and money to this effort .

Without each and every one of you, this would not have been possible.

And that your contributions make a difference.

We started this non profit because we wanted to be a hands-on organization with direct contact, and we have managed to do that, thanks to you.

So you can always know that whatever you contribute is going to where you want it to go. That is very important to us.
