• The First Earth Day – April 22 1970, is recognized as the birth of the modern environmental movement.
• The First Earth Day led to the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts, as well as the creation of the EPA.
• Largest secular observance in the world, celebrated by over 1 billion people every year.
• One day every year that leads to human behavior changes and pushes for policy changes.
Our Plan of Action• Create and promote the creation of
content about Plastic Pollution to educate and support people and organizations that want to act
• Conduct Government Strategic Outreach• Promote the Development of Institutional
and Legal Frameworks to End Plastic Pollution
• Position Plastic Pollution with the global media and increase relevant coverage of the problem
