An additional container may be purchased through Waste Management for $85 by calling 1.800.866.4460. (See Page 2 for important new recycling changes for 2019). • Residential trash, recycling, and yard waste/leaf material is to be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. Trash and recycling may be placed out the night before after 6:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. winter months). Remove empty containers no later than 12:00 midnight on the day of collection. • A special collection may be scheduled with Waste Management at 1.800.866.4460 for excessive amounts of trash. Fees apply. • All bagged or bundled trash must be a manageable weight that one person can safely lift. The contractor is not responsible for the collection of any item outlined in this brochure that is not properly prepared. • The contractor is not responsible for the cleanup of trash, recycling, or yard waste/ leaf material disturbed or scattered by weather, animals or other causes. • Report legitimate trash misses to the Public Works Department at 412.831.9000 x 271. • It may be necessary to delay or cancel trash/recycling collection during inclement weather. The contractor will be checking to make sure these items and other contaminants are not in the containers; if so they will not be collected. Recycling is to be placed in Township issued automated recycling bins only and is picked up every other week on regular trash day.

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS AND DROP OFF EVENTS

Ecycling is the recycling of electronic equipment (anything with a cord including large electric appliances). There is a $15 charge for anything containing Freon. One (1) television per vehicle per
collection accepted. Collection is in the parking lot of the Community & Recreation Center located at 1551 Mayview Road from 10:00 – 2:00
Yard waste must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on collection day. Yard waste curbside collection includes leaves, plants, garden residue, chipped shrubbery, tree trimmings and leaf/grass clipping
mixture. Yard waste is to be in compostable paper bags; limbs are to be bundled and no longer than 48˝ and 3˝ in diameter.
