Seems we were just celebrating the 4 th of July and now Labor Day is just around the corner. Traditionally we associate Labor Day with waning summer days and children heading back to to school. As our most valuable possessions embark on a new school year, remember they are facing a new normal, we need to be alert, as they face the new year, they may need extra adult support, to face new challenges, they are counting on us. We would also like to remind you to be patient and respect that School Bus you meet, they have VALUABLE CARGO on board. August was a quiet month for Sportsmen, since unforeseen conflicts caused us to cancel our monthly meeting. We are looking forward to getting back on track at our September 12 th Breakfast/Brunch meeting, 10:00am, Cedar Rapids 2272 Eagles Club. This meeting is especially important, since we will be having election of officers. We are proud to say we currently have 55 paid Sportsmen Club members, and would like to invite all Aerie/Auxiliary members in good standing to add to that number and enjoy the fun and friendship of the Sportsmen Club. Lastly remember, if you are to enjoy the benefits that come with your Sportsmen Club membership, such as our annual Christmas Dinner, you need to remit your dues by October 1 st . Don’t forget to join us on September 12 th . ~ Respectfully – Secretary/Treas – Margaret Hamed WHAT THE CLUCK !?!
