Our workshops are all based on the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation’s mantra of growing, harvesting, preparing, sharing,
and are hosted by passionate leaders in the fields of cooking and gardening. They are held at our beautiful new Learning Centre in the grounds of the Kitchen Garden Program’s first school, Collingwood College in inner-city Melbourne.
Each workshop is designed to provide a highly engaging and collaborative kitchen garden experience, where the intrinsic link between freshly harvested produce and delicious seasonal food is explored and emphasised. Almost all workshops involve participants gathering together to share the dishes created in the kitchen or to celebrate the techniques learnt in the garden. Every workshop is a celebration of the joy of fresh food.
All Kitchen Garden Foundation public workshops are based on the philosophy of the Kitchen Garden Program, and bring our motto of growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing to the wider kitchen garden community.
All proceeds from public workshops go to furthering the work of the Kitchen Garden Foundation in bringing pleasurable food education to Australian children.
