A Delegation from Al Falah University Visited H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum

A delegation from Al Falah University visited H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the Minister of Finance and Industry of the United Arab Emirates at his palace, in the presence of His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The delegation included Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AFU Chancellor, Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi, AFU President and Mr. Mohammed Atatreh, member of the Board of Trustees.

The delegation reviewed the activities and programs of the university that meet the needs of the community and the labor market. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan praised the efforts exerted by Al Falah University, the academic and educational programs and the students’ achievements.

Dr. Atatreh thanked His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid for his interest to the students and his support for the education process of institutions of higher education in the country and his charitable work which has a great impact in the UAE and the world.

Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, Al Falah University Chancellor met with H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Police in Dubai for a mutually beneficial partnership. Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi, AFU President, and Brigadier General Ahmad Ateeq Al Maqoodi, Director of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Police were also in attendance.

Lt. Gen. Khalfan warmly welcomed the delegation. During the meeting, both parties pointed out the need to develop a strong partnership with one another to support the process of nation’s transformation and development in various aspects.

Dr. Atatreh stated that AFU seeks to improve the university’s educational outputs, to provide training opportunities for students while studying and even after graduation and to efficientlycorrelate theoretical material to the practical application. AFU Visits the Headquarters of the Dubai International Holy Quran AwardDr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, Al Falah University Chancellor paid an official visit to H.E. Advisor Ibrahim Bumelha, Advisor to H.H. the Ruler of Dubai for Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity Establishment with AFU President Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi.

H.E. Advisor Bumelha welcomed the delegation and appreciated the visit, pointing out the need to develop cooperation with leading institutions of higher education in the U.A.E. to contribute to the process of transformation and development of the state.Dr. Atatreh stated that Al Falah

Dr. Atatreh, on the other hand, stated that it is one of AFU’s goals to form a strong partnership with media organizations in UAE particularly with Al Bayan Newspaper as a major

media station in Dubai to assist students from College of Mass Communication in applying theoretical knowledge to practical application.

Al Falah University Wins Third Place in Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Short Film Award

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Falah University organized a lecture on the topic of the Life of the late Sheikh Zayed by Mr. Mohammed Al Qudsi, a senior member of the Abu Dhabi TV team.

Mr. Al Qudsi addressed Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, in achieving his vision in the establishment of modern Abu Dhabi by taking power in August 1966, the union of the United Arab Emirates in December 1971 and the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abu Dhabi in May 1981.

The lecture also addressed Sheikh Zayed’s active and influentialroleintheGulfandthe Arab world which is still visible until the present day.

Award. Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Robin Kabha, Ms. Saeed’s film “Because I am Human” placed third in the Volunteer Culture category.

The Mansoor Bin Mohammed Award is one of the most important awards-giving body in the category of short films.This year’s competition included several important themes that focused on the values important to the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan.

TASK 2018 “Towards Advanced Scientific Knowledge”

The conference was attended by more than 100 researchers and speakers from universities from the Gulf and Arab region as well as foreign countries. In this three-day event, 77 scientific research papers in three main areas, including business administration, business and media, and business and law were discussed.

On the first day of the conference, Al Falah University’s Chancellor, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, welcomed the participants and keynote speakers: Prof. Elias Boukrami, Head of the Masters Program in Finance at Regents University London, and Professor Bruno S. Sergi, Associate at Harvard University Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, in addition to the Director of Government Communications at the Securities and Commodities Authority, Mr. Mohammed Al Matrooshi.

In his speech, Dr. Atatreh stressed the importance of organizing such conferences and workshops that stimulate scientific knowledge andproduce valuable research.

This will in turn develop the scientificexpertise among faculty members through the exchange of ideas in administrative sciences based on their research interests. Resultantly, such exchange of ideas will promote educational outcomes both within the Al Falah University and the wider Higher Education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Atatreh also emphasized the need for faculty members and researchers to graduate students who are abletoworkstronglyinthefieldofmedia,law, and business administration through teaching useful curricula that integrate theoretical and practical aspects.The President of Al Falah University, Dr. Abdelhafid Belarbi, stressed that theUniversity is always keen to combine

theoretical and practical knowledge and follow up the latest studies and scientificresearchesofhighvalueinorderto produce a generation aware of the challenges of the local and international labor market.The Chairman of the Conference, Dean of College of Business Administration at Al-Falah University, said that the conference wassupportedbyfivescientificjournalsindexed by SCOPUS where participants can publish their papers presented during the conference.
