While buying electronic products, opt for those that:

Use recycled content Utilize minimal packaging Offer leasing or take back options Customers should have been certified

by regulatory authorities. Opt for upgrading their computers or

other electronic items to the latest versions rather than buying new equipments.

The steps taken by China Govt. in order to reduce the e-waste are:

It has banned e-waste import, in 2002. In 2009, Beijing set up e-waste sorting

centers. To process e-waste trash stations are

opened. Taken the initiative to check e-waste

generators. Use of labeled materials has been

made mandatory. Taken initiative on public awareness.
