Step 1 - Profile Registration
• Required Documents– PAN card

egistration/RegistrationHome.html• Enter your PAN No ,Name & DOB• Complete registration process using OTP (OTP
received as SMS & email)
Step 2 - Fill & Submit ITR 1 form online
• Required Documents– PAN– Adhar Card No– Form 16 (Part A&B)– Details of other income– Details of deductions claimed under section
80C,80D,80G etc– Bank account Details

Step 2- E-filing
• Go to Services > Submit Returns /forms• https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/U
serLogin/LoginHome.html?nextPage=efile• Select ITR1 (individuals) & Assessment Year as
2015-16• Do press Save Draft at regular intervals to
avoid on losing saved information due to auto session expiry sign-out.

• Provide Personal Information• Filing Status– (A19) Employer Category – others– (A20) Tax Status – Nil tax balance– (A21) Residential Status – RES Resident– (A22) Return filled under section – 11 before due

ITR Acknowledgement
Step 3 – Send ITR-V to CPC Bangalore / E verification process
• ITR-V submission process– Take print out of ITR-V and sign it only with Blue
Ink– Enclose ITR-V in A4 size envelope. – Please do not fold ITR-V ,No other documents
should be attached.– Ordinary / Speed Post to –
Income Tax Department CPC, Post Box No.1, Electronic City Post Office, Bangalore – 560100, Karnataka.
• After filing the e-Return, you can e-Verify the return to complete the process through online banking website, or with Aadhaar authentication. These facilities have to be availed currently at your Bank website / ITD website.
• e-Verifying the return will complete the return filing process, which means, there would be no need to send ITR-V by post.
