A serious process for serious comfortThe process of creating eachDunlopillo Talalay latexmattress or pillow is far

from simple.We start by collecting natural latex in its pure form frommature

rubber trees. As the name of the tree suggests, this latex is the core ingredient

of rubber, but we take it on a very complex journey to create something

perfectly designed to help you sleep in comfort.

The process begins with careful blending to

produce amixture that is the basis of

Dunlopillo Talalay latex. The next stage is

freezing the latex in amould to temperatures

of -30°C, adding a gas and then heating it to115°C to cure and set themixture.

Thorough washing and drying ensures that all

proteins and impurities are removed. This is

followed by individual testing of each block

to check that it meets the required

specifications for density and comfort.

Only then is it ready for finishing into a

mattress or pillow ready to take its place in

your bedroom. EachDunlopillo Talalay latex

mattress and pillow is made individually to

suit the particular range that it is part of.

There are easier and less expensive ways to

makemattresses and pillows, but we believe

the effort is worth it. We are confident that

bases, so you can be sure of a combination of mattress and base that’s

perfect for you.

Sprung edge basesOnourHarmonize andClassic ranges these bases feature edge-to-edge

support from an open coil spring unit.

Pocket sprung basesAvailable only on the TempSmart™ range, more than 1,000 individually

nested springs give you an extra level of comfort and individual support.

Two rows of heavier springs around the bed perimeter are also included to

prevent roll-off.

Sprung slatted timber basesAcross our TempSmart™, Harmonize andClassic ranges, you have the option

of an additional comfort layer beneath themattress, but withmore firmness

than the pocket sprung bases. You can also adjust the lumbar region slats to

fine-tune the level of firmness to suit you.
