Course Outcome: On successful completion participants will be issued with a notice of assessment and a wallet sized duty of care card Assessment and Course Delivery Assessment is both theory and practical Courses are normally 4 .5 hrs. duration and are run on demand Machine assessments occur only when the participant can demonstrate competency, or with a logbook, signed declaration stating their machine experience or a 3 rd party declaration from their employer with machinery operated and position/experience held. Dump Truck assessments can only be conducted on work site where the participant will have access to a Dump Truck. Course Content • Plan and prepare for dump truck operation • Conduct routine pre start checks • Identify hazards and environmental issues • Operate dump truck • Load, haul and dump materials carrying out approved dumping operations • Position dump truck under loading units • Relocate dump truck • Secure site Pre-requisites / Clothing & Equipment Requirements • Students must be 18 years of age and able to speak, read and understand basic English to communicate to a safe level. • Students must provide photo identification upon enrolment in the course (e.g. driver’s licence; passport or proof of age card) • Students must wear personal protective equipment while attending the course including long sleeve shirt, steel capped boots and long trousers. • Red Earth Training Solutions will supply high vis vest if required • Students are required to read the learning materials prior to attending the course Assessment Only $480 (without CITB eligible worker ID number) or $260 (with CITB eligible worker ID number) Cost per participant includes learning materials, assessment materials (theory & practical) notice of assessment and wallet-sized ID card.
