    DTS-i stands for Digital Twin Spark Ignition

    Digital Twin Spark Ignition powered engine has spark

    plugs at either sides of the combustion chamber.1). Greater combustion rate,this enhances both engine life& makes it fuel efficient.

    2). Enriches the power of the bikes.

    In Conventional Engines, we uses only one spark plug atone end of the combustion chamber

    The flame front created by the spark takes some time toreach the farthest portion of the combustion chamber.

    1).leads to slower burning of air-fuel mixture.

    2).creates limitation in optimizing the combustionchamber characteristics.

    Currently one spark plug at one end of the combustionchamber is the conventional practice.The flame createdby the spark takes some time to reach the farthest

    portion of the combustion chamberThis lead to slowerburning of the Air-fuel mixture& creates limitations inoptimizing the C.C characteristics.

    2 spark plugs at either ends of the C.C helps in faster &better combustion .

    A Digital C.D.I with an 8 bit microprocessor chip handlesthe spark delivery. The programmed chips memory

    contains an optimum ignition timing for any given engine

    rpm.

    Throttle Responsiveness Ignition Control System IIIrdgeneration .

    It is a means of controlling the ignition by operating thethrottle depending on the needs of the rider.

    1).Helps in achieving a good balance b/w driveability &optimum ignition spark advance.

    DTS-Si stands for Digital Twin Spark Swirl Induction

    DTS-Si engines also has 2 spark plugs like DTS-iengine,but the difference b/w these two engines is

    the offset position of the inlet & outlet ports.

    This offset position creates turbulence of the air-fuelmixture in the combustion chamber.

    Results in highly efficient combustionthat further results in exceptionalmileage.

    DTS-Fi stands for Digital Twin Spark Fuel Ignition

    In fuel injection the conventional carburetor has been

    replaced by injector which injects the fuel in to the enginein a spray form based on the instructions of EngineControl Unit (ECU) which is a part of Engine ManagementSystem

    ECU is microprocessor based & is the brain of the fuel injection system

    DTS-i was first introduced in pulsar 150/180 models in 2003

    DTS-Si technology came in XCD 125 in 2007 & currentlyalso available in Platina 125 & XCD 135

    DTS-Fi Bajaj displayed the 220 DTS-Fi at the Delhi Auto

    Expo 2006. Whereas the Indian nationwide launchhappened in July 2007.Pulsar 220 has DTS-Fi engine & claimed to be the FastestIndian Bike with a top speed of 144 Kmph
