THE MEETING WAS THEREUPON OPENED AT 8:05 P.M. FOR A PUBLICHEARING TO HEAR THE APPEAL OF SPENCER OIL COMPANY, 16410COMMON ROAD, ROSEVILLE, MI 48066, WHO IS REQUESTING A REVIEWOF THE ISSUANCE OF A SIGN PERMIT, WHICH WAS GRANTED LIMITEDAPPROVAL BY THE PUNNING CO^FMISSION. THE PETITIONER SEEKSINSTALLATION OF A POLE SIGN TO BE CONSTRUCTED AT 19733 MACKAVENUE (MACK AND ALLARD SERVICE STATION, A/K/A/ BP (BRITISHPETROLEUM), WHICH SIGN EXCEEDS SQUARE FOOTAGE ALLOWABLE BYTHE CITY ORDINANCE. A VARIANCE IS THEREFORE REQUIRED.

The Chair directed the City Administrator-Clerk to instrpctthe Building Inspector to indicate the variance percentagesin his letters to Council regarding deficiencies.
Motion by Bidigare, supported by Gilezan, regarding Requestto Hold a Group Walk - Multiple Sclerosis Society, that theCity Council concurs with the recommendation of the CityAdministrator-Clerk and the Director of Public Safety andgrants APPROVAL of such walk to be held on Sunday, April 7,1991 from 9:00 a.m. to no later than 4:00 p.m.; such routeto be as indicated in the application dated November 28,1990, subject to route approval by other involvedcommunities; and subject to a minimum $1 million insurancepolicy being provided.
