DRY STONE WALL EXTRAVAGANZA ABOUT PROJECT Dry stone wall extravaganza is a short term EVS project aiming to raise awareness about: possibilities of creating new professions and jobs by revitalizing traditional skills (dry stone building) importance of practicing healthy lifestyle- specially for youth value of voluntary work in both in local communities and internationally possibilities of sustainable development based on unused local resources in rural areas (natural, cultural, traditional heritage). TOPIC reviving traditional skills, cultural and arheological heritage, outdoor activities VENUE Our project is set on one of Croatia numerous islands—island of Murter. Rhich with history and cluture, Murter is an excellent place for starting up an outdoor treasure hunt! PARTICIPANTS This project gathers participants from 5 European countries —Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey and Bulgaria—each country sending 3 volunteers. The project is intented for volunteers that enjoy working outdoors and want to have, after finishing EVS, a visible final product of their work.
