Hello fellow members of the OACBS. Even though the season has drawn to a close, our minds can still go back to the warm days of summer as we recall our time on the water. We hope this issue will remind you of some of those good times. Since our last issue of the “Dry Dock”, we have had two board meet- ings, a “Steamfest” event in Penticton in September and the Mahogany & Merlot show on Lake Chelan, WA. in October. Here is a quick summary of some of the board minutes in the last few months: We have donated about $1000.00 worth of small punts and a skiff to the Sicamous Society for them to use in their boat repair shop. The winner of the 50/50 draw at our boat show donated his win- nings back to the club and OACBS in turn do- nated it to the youth pro- grams at ACBS. ACBS has announced a $5.00 increase in mem- bership dues; the first in many years. When joining this year, it will be $75.00 US in total, $50.00 for ACBS and $25.00 for OACBS. The Sicamous boat show dates will be back to August 7-9, 2015. Mark your diaries!! Our bank balance is in the mid 4 figure range.
