Exten- ded safety functions can be activated via an optional software license. In line with the modular concept of the Sinamics G120 portfolio, the new Control Units can also be freely combined with all relevant Power Modules and support all applications so far addressed by the Sinamics G120, both with and without encoder evaluation. These include pump, fan, and compres- sor applications, as well as mill, mixer, and extruder applications in industries such as automotive, textile, printing, chemicals, and material handling.
