It is time to do your spring cleaning now—clear out your closets, storage areas, garage and donate your gently used things that you may no longer want or need that others may like to buy. This sale benefits Drive a Senior NC directly. FEEL FREE TO PRICE YOUR ITEMS. You can drop your items off on Friday April 24th at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection parish hall , located at 2008 Justin Lane, Austin 78757, between NOON and 6 PM. Gave over 630 point-to-point rides to seniors
Drove seniors over 7,740 miles
Donated over 630 volunteer hours to our community
The Neighborly Way
A FRIENDLY REMINDER FOR VOLUNTEERS:
Please call your passenger when you accept the assignment to let them know you are driving
them and discuss details. Follow up before the drive, to remind them who you are and what time
you plan to arrive to pick them up. Notify the office of any changes or concerns.
When you receive the pending rides report, you can always “self assign” online to drive or perform
other service. Click the “click here” and
To ASSIGN a request to yourself:
1) Click the STATUS of the request to bring up
the 'Driver Trip Update' function
2) Click on the 'Assign Me As Driver' button
3) Click on Submit, then click on the 'Close' button
AFTER you have completed the drive
To Update a request as COMPLETED:
1) Click the STATUS of the request to display
the 'Driver Trip Update' function
2) Select COMPLETED in the 'New Status' drop
down box, enter mileage and hours
3) Click on the UPDATE button
If you need to cancel a drive you are assigned to, please let the office know either
through Assisted Rides—Remove yourself from drive request; or via email

Thursday, May 21, 7:30 p.m. First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin All proceeds to benefit Drive a Senior, North Central Austin Secession never tasted so good! Set in a dystopian Second Republic of Texas, Queso Blanco has danger, intrigue, romance, liberals on the run and really cheesy jokes. Set a spell at Rick’s Bar and Cleaners and take in a wacky, yet cautionary tale of love, loss and Lone Star lunacy. Directed by Gary Payne Refreshments will be served For tickets, call 512-453-2273

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Just a reminder for all our Clients:
You can request your appointment well in ad-
vance if possible—even two months ahead of time.
The sooner the office is informed the better.
However, there must be AT LEAST THREE
WORK DAYS (M-F), between the day you are call-
ing requesting service and the day of the appoint-
ment.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please
CALL THE OFFICE as soon as possible or at
least the day before. Try not to cancel when
the driver shows up at your house.
Please DO NOT contact our drivers directly at
any time. The office or the driver will call you.
All service requests MUST go through our office.
We keep records on all services completed in order
to track how we are doing and report for grant
funding.
Together, this helps keep us all “on the road”!
