    Welcome to Brazil!

Dear Family,Today I saw the Christ the Redeemer statue, which was a great statue to see. It is

over 75 years old and is so amazing it is now a wonder of the world! Also today I

learned that the open arms of the statue represent peace, and believe it or not, the

statue took nine years to build! Through the years this statue has been beaten with

rain ,wind and also lightning, but it still it standing strong. I was so joyful to finally

see the statue. For years I wanted to look at it in person and to see all the hard work

put into, and I got to do just that.

After I saw the statue I went to the Iguazu Falls. They were beautiful! There were

water falls all around me, some higher up than others and one 269ft high! I took a

boat and floated on the Iguazu River for some of the best views. I did not see all of it

because some of the river goes into Argentina, but overall I had a great, wet time!

After the falls I went back to my hotel to change clothes and then back off to the

Museu Paulista! It is a very old museum, about 110 years old! It is a Brazilian history

museum that had some great art work inside it. Also I learned it had the same design

as the Palace of Versailles. Then after that long day I went back to hotel to get ready

    to go to Iran.

P.S Cant wait to see you again!

    Youve got to love Iran

    Dear Family,

Today I woke up and went to Persepolis, which I learned translates toPersian City. This city is filled with old statues and remains of palaces. No matter where you look you can see art on the walls showing the oldlifestyle of Iran. Also, some of the earliest remains of Persepolis go as farback as 515BC. That means some things are thousands of years old. Itgoes to show you Iran treasures its art and culture. I was so fortunate to

see such and historic place that gives us a glimpse of what life used to belike.

After Perseolis, I took a breathtaking trip to the Royal Mosque of Iran.It was built in 1629 and is filled with many high ceiling rooms andhallways that are covered with many different color tiles leaving youbeyond words. Next I travelled to the National Museum of Iran, whichwas established in 1937. Some of the artifacts in that museum, from theYafted Cave, date back about 30,000 years ago! I found that trulyamazing, but as all good things come to an end, I had to leave themuseum to pack for France. O la, la!

    Bonjour from France!

    Dear Family,

Today I flew into France and visited the Eiffel Tower. Did you know that it isabout 125 years old, and it is 896 ft. tall! Also I learned that it was created byMaurice Koechin. After the tower I went to the Palace of Versailles to see howthe French kings and queens lived. The palace was amazing, with over 2,000rooms and about 2,100 windows. This palace was a true work of art. I learnedthat it was built and lived in by the royal family of France, and some otherroyals from other countries also stayed there. I also saw the hall of mirrors

which was the prettiest room in the palace because of the reflection of the gold. The gardens were huge filled with many flowers, and trimmed bushes that madethe whole experience breathtaking. Also I learned that the palace, and theparties held there, were paid by taxes from the people of France. This was onereason that they started the French revolution.

Lastly I went to Chateau de Chambord to end my touring day in France. Atthe castle I learned that it was being built in 1526 for King Louis XIV as ahunting house. Then many years later because of the French Revolution all thefurniture, paintings and wood were taken out of the house and sold and thecastle was left empty until Napoleon sold it. After the castle I went to my hoteland started packing for my last stop on this trip, Greece.

    When in Greece

Dear Family,Today I went to Greece to see the Temple of Zeus. This templewas built thousands of years ago and made for one of the Greekgods named Zeus. Thousands of years took it toll on this temple, and it is now in ruins, but still a great site to see.

After that I went to the great city of Athens. In Athens I sawmany museums like, the Zappeion and Hellenic Parliament. Ialso saw where they had the Olympic games in 1896, 1906 and

2004. I walked by the National Library of Greece, which mademe feel like I went back in time because of the architecture.Lastly after walking around in Athens I saw the Parthenon. Thisgreat temple is thousands of years old and still standing (barely). It was cool to see one of Greece's proudest sites. It used to havethree layers of columns but, many got knocked down throughthe years. After all that I packed my bags for, well, home!

P.S Cant wait to come home!
