DRAFT Land Use Amendment Proposal Parkdale Gateway

This is the first draft of a potential educational tool to stimulate discussion at the Parkdale Community level on Land Use Amendment Proposal. Parkdale community has already increased density 20% through infill, secondary suites, multi-family complexes, duplexes and is continuing to do so. Parkdale community also embraces and reflects economic, cultural, ethnic diversity. However, Parkdale also has streetscapes of heritage homes and may wish to protect areas surrounding these homes from dramatic increases in density. The City of Calgary promotes density using best practice models of modest density increases that are sensitive to neighbourhood character, and hidden.
