Saint Edmond’s Academy, a Catholic, Independent school, educates the hearts and minds of boys in

the Holy Cross tradition from JK to eighth grade. Our heritage incorporates contemporary thought

with individualized instruction, a challenging st-century curriculum, and a focus on the core values

of responsibility, independence, self-esteem, integrity, and a sense of community. The program at the

Academy creates a foundation for the future that empowers boys with values and skills for life.

As a Catholic Academy, rooted in the tradition of Holy Cross education, we are dedicated

to empowering our students with values for life. From a young age, students develop an

understanding of five core values distilled from the educational writings of Blessed Basil

Moreau: Responsibility, Integrity, Independence, Positive Self-Esteem, and Building

Community. Students learn to respect themselves and those around them, embracing the

likeness and differences of all.

Throughout the pages of this Annual Report, you will find the names of

alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends who supported

the Academy through their financial gifts and gifts-in-kind this past fiscal

year. The support we received was unprecedented. Your gifts allow us to con-

tinue to serve the boys of Saint Edmond’s Academy academically and spir-

itually. We are educating our young men to be leaders, challenging them to

grow in and out of the classroom and helping them to find their individual

voice and path in the larger world. Our work will continue because of the

generosity of so many. We have titled this publication We Are All Holy Cross

because our mission is to build on the legacy of the Brothers of Holy Cross

and the teachings and values they have instilled in us. The Brothers’ impact

on our Academy will always remain with us as we forge ahead into our next

academic year and beyond.

As we look forward to the th year for Saint Edmond’s Academy, I am

enthusiastic about the momentum we continue to build for our school, our

students and our community. We will challenge our students, and be chal-

lenged as a school, to grow while also remaining faithful to our traditions.

on sunday june th, family, faculty, and friends gathered in the Rollins Centerfor the Performing Arts in recognition of the th Annual Commencement Mass and Cer-emony honoring the graduates of our eighth-grade class. Forty-four boys joined the ranksof our distinguished alumni as they were presented with their diplomas by HeadmasterBrian Ray, Principal Tricia Scott, and Assistant Headmaster Bill D’Amato. CelebratingMass was Rev. Anthony M. Pileggi ’. The ceremony had many stand-out moments in-cluding class speaker Riley McAvinue, musical selections by our student vocalists andinstrumentalists, as well as the presentation of awards for academic excellence and academichonors. The Friends of the Academy Award was presented to Ernest and Jennifer Di-

anastasis for their countless contributions to the Saint Edmond’s community through theirvolunteer efforts. Finally, the Lancer Award was presented to two eighth-grade students whobest embodied the Core Values of a Holy Cross education. Always emulating a spirit of re-spect for self and others, the Lancer Award recipients exemplify a sense of responsibility,independence, integrity, self-esteem, and building community. Our two graduate recipientsfor were Connor Alcarese and Michael Migliore. We congratulate the entire gradu-ating Class of and we ask that they keep Saint Edmond’s in their hearts and mindsas they continue their journey beyond our doors.
