How it started

• Regularly organizing Camps for underprivileged at Delhi/NCR

• So thought of opening a rural dental center

• Opened Dental Clinic in Remote area of district Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh

• Started visiting for two days every week from Delhi

• But that was not sufficient- the ground level Picture was different & Shocking.

How the Journey started…..

• Villagers believed only in Tooth extractions

• For treatment they travel to 45km / 100km

• They have huge social, personal & Financial problems , couldn’t earn because of Draught / Job crisis

• Many elderly were deprived of treatment, nobody was ready to take them to dentist or Quacks

• Villagers didn’t have any clue about sensitivity test ( before extraction / RCT)

• Autoclaved / Sterilized instruments ( which I carry every time to Delhi and bring them back )

• Packed gauge pieces - post extraction is given to them• Patient drape concept / Chlorhexidine mouth rinses before

dental procedure• Compulsory Prophylactic antibiotic pre treatment coverage

(68% patients have periodontal Problem )• In house 48 years experienced well reputed Bsc MBBS (Retd Dy CMO)
