Things we cannot control…

• Global warming

• Volcanic Activity

• Incidence of La Nina/El Nino

• Developing economies- China, India etc.

• Political decision making

• Economic downturn

Page 15: Dr Phil Baynes DPDG 12.12 - Darlington Pig Discussion Group

What does this mean for us?

Every country is reliant on home-produced or imported materials.

Shortages will mean potentially questionable materials being used in feed

Page 16: Dr Phil Baynes DPDG 12.12 - Darlington Pig Discussion Group

2 - Options for Feeding Pigs

Compound Feed

Home-Mix Meal

Co-Product Feeding

Page 17: Dr Phil Baynes DPDG 12.12 - Darlington Pig Discussion Group

Who do we believe and what is the impact on diet cost?

Page 25: Dr Phil Baynes DPDG 12.12 - Darlington Pig Discussion Group

Lysine is good?!!!
