“International House is a wonderful way to travel the world without ever leaving town or the campus. A few minutes with the House or just a Wednesday night presentation can teach you more about the countries of the world than most people

ever learn. It is a place of diversity in every aspect and everyone gets along. We learn and grow from each other and that’s what makes us a program. We are not just another dorm.”

“KNOW ONE ANOTHER AND YOU WILL LOVE ONE ANOTHER.”- Dr. James H. Jones

“International House experience changed my life. I now see world as one and way smaller than I thought it was. I have learned how to know one another and love one another. What I enjoyed most about participating

in the International House program was that I got to learn about different cultures, different countries, different people and that I was able to love another country that was not my own but felt like my own.”

Maria Jimena OrtizGuatemala

“I spent the best four years of my life in the International House! I met so many people from so many different countries and met my lifelong best friends during my stay. I learned so much about other cultures and I even learned how to dance! Good times!

College education is not just about getting a degree, it is also about discovering yourself and those around you. International House gives opportunity to discover and learn beyond textbooks.”

“Moving into the International House was about the best choice I could’ve made at Jacksonville. Not only do you meet and learn about many others, you become a member of a wonderful community. While making friends and connections,

you learn about places they come from around the world that you may have very little knowledge about. The house has given me opportunities and friendships that I will forever be grateful for. I believe most people should experience other cultures and learn more about life around the world, so I definitely think the house is a great way to do so.”
