It is very im-portant that we are able to contact parents im-mediately by phone in the case of an emergen-cy. The phone numbers need to be current and working, voice “mail boxes” not full and you have made a plan with the Emergency Contacts so then can get ahold of you. Thanks you.

We are trying to reduce the amount of paper that we use/copy so each edition of our newsletter will be sent to you via email if you have an email account. If you miss an edition, it is posted on our school website at:

https://www.vsb.bc.ca/schools/dr-george-m-weir. Each edition includes a monthly calendar of events so you will know what is happening around the school. Make sure to let the office staff know if you change your email address. Please note: A few paper copies will be available in the office.

Warning Bell 8:55 am

Start of the day 9:00 am

Recess 10:50 – 11:05 am

Lunch time 12:00 – 12:47 pm

End of the day 3:00 pm

SUPERVISION TIMES:

Before School: 8:40—8:55 am

There is no supervision on the school grounds before 8:40 am

Recess & Lunch

After School: 3:00—3:20 pm

Students are expected to be picked up or to leave by 3:20 pm unless they have a parent/adult supervising

them outside.

ARE YOU SICK?

There has been a lot of sickness in our school this season. Please remember: to stay home if you have a fever or are vomiting.

JUNIOR BOYS SOC-CER TEAM

This year, our enthusi-astic and energetic grades 5, 6, and 7 boys came together to rep-resent Weir School in soccer. Our junior and senior boys teams demonstrated a com-mitment to themselves, their teammates, and their coach, Dan Petko-vich. They practiced hard and competed harder. Most of all, they consistently demonstrated Wolf pride and Wolf spirit as they represented Weir school throughout the season. Thank you

Coach Petkovich for instilling hard work, respect, and pride into your team. They have made us proud.
