Figure 2-2 Electronic principle diagramThe principle diagram of the electronic system is shown above in Figure 2-2. When passing through the monochromator the ray of the lamp-house will be changed into monochromic light. The result will be then received by the photoelectric detector when it passes through the flow colorimetric cuvette, and further transformed into electric signal. The signal will be amplified and filtered, and then transmitted into A/D transformer. When the information is transformed into numbers, it will be sent into data collection system of the computer for kinds of calculation and transaction. Users can either read the final result on the display or alternatively get it printed out.2.2 Functions

Appendix E Bar code reader installation and operation

1. Installation

The bar code reader is the optional spare parts for DR-7000 series semi-automatic chemistry analyzer, there is a serial port on analyzer back board for it installation. The operation is very easy, operator only need to insert the bar code reader connector plug into the proper serial port.

Notice: The equipment should be powered off before bar code reader installation.

2. Operation

(1) The bar code reader could read Code-39, Code-128, EAN-8, UPC-E and Inter leaved 2 of 5 bar code automatically and the total digit for the bar code number should not more than 10 letters, otherwise, it will not workable.

(2) The operator could do the scan operation before each test (ID should be setup ON) and then the bar code number will be saved into ID number. There is only one bar code number for each sample, therefore, it is only need to scan one time for the same sample or the equipment will save the last scan one as the final one.

(3)The bar code reader belongs to far-distance Reader, the operator only need to aim the scan point at the barcode number and then press the trigger, so that, the real-time bar code info will be shown on the screen.

(4)The bar code reader reads the barcode by the light line center on the top of it, to avoid mistakes, the light line should cover the whole barcode and keep proper bevel with the trigger before reading.
