Civil Engineering

AIEC specializing in Structural Engineering the practice has in depth knowledge of the associated processes involved in delivering the complete building scheme including Party Wall Matters, Planning, Building Regulations, Managing agent liaison, Local authorities, obtaining License to Alter agreements and obtaining Plan approvals. AIEC has established a growing reputation for providing high quality building designs and continues to grow through recommendation and reputation. If you are proposing to alter or extend your building, or construct a new one, You will need professional advice, and most likely the preparation of structural design calculations for submission to the local authority under Building Regulations as well as for the builder. We offer structural design and calculations for steel, concrete and

timber beams, joists and lintels, masonry wall panels, roofs and general overall building stability. Sometimes, calculations are required to assess existing structures for retrospective compliance with Building Regulations or safety following alterations. This requires a more holistic approach rather than simple compliance with current design standards, which we are able to offer, taking other considerations into account also.

Architectural Design We make the dreams & wishes into excellent Architectural Drawings. In addition to designing cooling systems with sophisticated controls, VAVs and Building Management Systems. Use of thermal insulation and coatings on building roofs can reduce the requirements of the air conditioning systems. AIEC we have evaluated a range of solutions to arrive at the optimal solution as per customer requirements.

Current lighting systems have been in use for over 30 years. While they are very effective, today there are other technologies that provide the same lighting performance while consuming up to 60% less energy. Light Emitting Diode (LED), Induction lighting are two such technologies that will make the current systems obsolete. They both offer much longer life (up to 75000 hours), require less maintenance and consume 60% less energy. We have extensively evaluated these and other options and successfully reduced operating costs for our customers. The Middle East and INDIA region has the highest number of sunny days compared to any other region of the world. The average solar irradiance is almost twice that of Western Europe. This energy can be utilized among other things to provide hot water for residential and industrial applications. Hot water, being the second largest consumer of electricity in the region after air-conditioning. A switch to solar water heaters can make a significant impact on power requirements.

The ultimate goal in accident prevention is "zero" disabling injuries and no lost work-time. Our Safety Policy manual contains some practical and useful safety guidelines to serve as habits and rules which will help employees to achieve a safer attitude and a safer work environment.

QA & QC Policy A documented Quality Assurance and Quality Control system has been prepared internally by AIEC and is available for inspection upon specific request. The document provides a general description of the system used by the company to ensure quality standards of services provided and resources/methods employed. Relevant industrial and technical standards have been taken into account. Specific project requirements will adhere to the concepts in the document, and any suppliers and/or sub-contractors will be required to work within their own documented system which shall not in any way conflict with the system described. Responsibility for compliance with the QA & QC system has not been delegated to a specific individual, but all employees have been informed of the existence of the document and have been instructed to adhere to the system described. The company policy is to ensure that quality of the highest order is achieved in all projects undertaken. This will depend mainly upon the competence of personnel and responsible discharge of the duties entrusted to them.
