Board available in PMC/XMC form factors. The data were transmitted in the form of optical signals through 4 optical transceiver. The data transmission was achieved by using GTP/GTX Rocket I/O of Virtex-5 FPGA. Smooth data flow is ensured using a 256MB of DDR2 SDRAM to provide each data-stream with 64MB of FIFO buffering. The PCI 9656 IO accelerator present in the module for PMC PCI interface. XMC interface supports x4 PCI express. Supports Single/Multi Mode optical interface on front panel or Copper interface on Rear XMC IO. Aurora is a scalable, link-layer protocol used to move data across point-to-point serial links. It provides a transparent interface to the physical serial links, allowing upper layers of proprietary or industry-standard protocols to easily use these high-speed serial links. This module supports 3.6 Gbps link speed. Supports point to point interface. • Built-in Flow control • High bandwidth transmission limited only by SERDES data rate capability Serial FPDP extends the maximum distance of FPDP connections by serializing the FPDP data stream and transmitting it over extended distance using copper or fiber optic cable. • Four independent point-to-point data streams to the host • Link speed is field configurable • All Serial FPDP (sFPDP) operational topologies are supported including point-to-point data streams, copy and copy/loop modes. The module is supported with complete device drivers in Windows, Linux and Vxworks.
