O'Neill will replace
Christy Cooney as
President of the GAA.
This will be an historic
occasion and everyone in
Laois is proud of Liam.
He has served his club,
county and province with
distinction and he now
leads the GAA forward.

COUNTY BOARD DRAW
Congratulations to all our winners in the first of the €130 County Board
draws which was made recently. The €10,000 prize was won by Tom
Kinsella of Courtwood GAA Club.

PARK RATHENISKA GAA AWARDS NIGHT The Park/Ratheniska GAA Club gathered recently to pay tribute to its Laois
and Leinster Junior Hurling Champions of 2011. Uachtarán Tofa CLG Liam
O'Neill and Laois County Board Vice Chairman Gerry Kavanagh were on hand to
present the double winning hurlers with their medals to mark their 2011
achievements.
Mr. O'Neill congratulated the Club on its dedication to its place and
people and most notably in the efforts to promote both Hurling and Football
in the area, a fact proven by the Clubs unique position in Laois GAA, being
the only Club to have Leinster Titles in both codes.
