DDP Implementation in CORS: Past & PresentDDP Implementation in CORS: Past & Present
• Past– DDP students are only recognized by CORS as students from
the primary faculty ONLY– This cause problems during declaration, module bidding and
FFG becauseo DDP students can’t bid for their secondary faculty modules
during the faculty protected roundo No systematic way of capturing declaration and FFG
specific to the secondary faculty
• Present– DDP students are recognized by CORS as students from BOTH
the primary and secondary faculties

Old VS New FFG (File For Graduation)Old VS New FFG (File For Graduation)
• Old way– Inform BOTH primary and secondary faculties manually when DDP
students want to FFG– A series of checks kick in to coordinate the process of FFG status of
student between the two faculties
• New way– DDP students will FFG via CORS– At the end of the semester, BOTH primary and secondary faculties
automatically pick up this information from CORS and process accordingly
– Only two options of FFG is allowed for DDP:o File for Double Honours Degree (Hons + Hons)o File for Double Degree (Hons + Bachelor)

Changes in DDP Points DistributionChanges in DDP Points Distribution
• Past– Each DDP student follows the primary faculty points distribution.
o SCI DDP = 600 P, 400 G
o ENG DDP = 750 P, 250 G
– ALL DDP students need to fulfill the same number of ULR
– ULR can be double counted towards BOTH degrees
– This form of points distribution is unfair to DDP students with a lesser amount of G account points
• Present– ALL DDP students will have 750 P and 250 G points uniformly
– This new points distribution will be effective from AY2007/2008 Semester 1
