The mission of The Road UMC is to become a community of believers committed to helping all people to personally know Jesus Christ by delivering a biblically based teaching and preaching of the gospel to those saved and seeking Christ and thereby developing disciples, families and communities through the power of the Holy Spirit. If you are new to our community and looking for a church home or desire to explore your spirituality, please consider us. At The ROAD, we are engaged in the L4 experience: Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and loving neighbor as thyself. Living a life that is Christ-centered and biblically oriented. Learning to be a disciple of Jesus Christ as we live counter to the culture following wholeheartedly after God in a broken world. I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

LISTENING TO THE SERMON
Listen to the message from God’s Word and record your personal notes. Revisit them during the week and let God’s truths take root in your life.
“Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only.” James 1:22
Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen.
United Methodists believe in saints, but not in the same manner as the Catholic Church. All Saints' Day is a time to remember Christians of every time and place, honoring those who lived faithfully and shared their faith with us. We do not pray to saints, nor do we believe they serve as mediators to God. United Methodist believe "there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human who gave himself a ransom for all." (1 Timothy 2:5-6a) United Methodists call people "saints" because they exemplified the Christian life. John Wesley believed we have much to learn from the saints, but he did not encourage anyone to worship them.
