Collaborative Robots Workshop Tuesday, April 15 High-end Surveillance and Security— How Technology is Helping Protect Us Security and high-end surveillance technologies, although completely different, are used together to help keep us safe. Typical security cameras and even cell phone images can be mined using software to help law enforcement solve crimes. High-end surveillance technologies provide more information at higher resolutions and therefore are the choice for border patrol, port security, airport monitoring, asset protection, law enforcement and other surveillance operations across the globe. This presentation will touch on the technologies used to capture the Boston Marathon bombers and will specifically discuss cutting-edge high-end surveillance technologies, where they are used and where future opportunities may be. With special introduction by: Paul Czerepuszko, Director, Business Development, FLIR Commercial Systems, Inc. The Vision Networking Party AIA’s sister trade group, the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) will host a full day workshop on Wednesday, April 16th about the latest advances in collaborative robots. This new class of robot, which works side by side with people without traditional safeguarding, is the subject of strong interest from potential robot users. Because vision has a key role to play in the further development of this technology, The Vision Show is a natural site for this first-ever RIA Collaborative Robots Workshop. A separate fee is required. One of the highlights at every Vision Show is the opportunity to network with fellow attendees, speakers, and exhibitors in an informal setting. AIA will once again host a networking party on Wednesday, April 16th at a fun location in Boston featuring food, beverages, and entertainment. A separate registration fee is required. Details online.
