Brinegar has taught voice and conducting at Pomona College, the University of Southern California, Cal State LA, and Pasadena City College. Brinegar’s forty-five year career in music education has distinguished him as a dynamic lecturer on topics of historical intonation practices, vocal and conducting pedagogy, music style and practice, and the organization and development of choral ensembles. He continues to sing and conduct throughout the United States.
