The leaders were abusive of their authority – (v. 1-4) They loved the praises of men (v. 5-12) An impediment to others entering into the kingdom
(v. 13). They were religious but yet unjust in their conduct
(v. 14). They were a bad influence on new converts (v. 15). They were foolish and blind in religious duties (v. 16-
22). They lacked judgment, mercy and faith (v. 23). They magnified the petty errors of others while
