2. Using ISOM in different environment

We have been using ISOM, especially rigid since 1998 when we started mapping for WC 2000 under different environment where ISOM has developed.

3. Conclusion

1) Mappers and runners are facing classification and interpretation problem. This might be one of essential problem for orienteering sport from cognitive point of view

2) Universal (seemingly context free ) symbols makes the problem harder, which designer of map specification should aware of.
