Los Angeles gained ground in the standings during yesterday’s travel day and now sits only 0.5 games behind the Giants in the NL West. The Dodgers continue to lead the NL Wild Card chase, 3.5 games ahead of the Marlins and Cardinals. Following three days in the City of Brotherly Love, the Dodgers will move on to Cincinnati for a four-game set to conclude the trip. The Dodgers won two of three games at Philadelphia last year and are 10-3 in their last 13 games at Citizens Bank Park dating to the start of the 2012 season (20-11 overall). ROSTER UPDATE: The Dodgers have reinstated right-handed pitcher Casey Fien (right elbow tendonitis) from the 15-day DL and optioned right-hander Brock Stewart to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Zach Walters, who was designated for assignment on Sunday, has been released from the roster. Fien, who last appeared in a big-league game on July 16, made four rehab appearances for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and the Rookie-level AZL Dodgers, allowing one run in 5.0 innings. He’s appeared in 21 games for the Dodgers since being claimed from the Twins on May 7, going 0-1 with a 4.09 ERA. STILL KNOWN AS THE MAN: Dodger second baseman Chase Utley returns to Philadelphia to play the Phillies for the first time since being acquired by the Dodgers on Aug. 19, 2015.
