Documented History of PhilRES' Recognition and Accreditation as the sole Accredited and Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) for the Real Estate Service of the PRC details specific acts and processes that led to the recognition of PhilRES as the sole AIPO for the real estate service edging out the other avid petitioners, the Federation of Real Estate Service Associations (FRESA) and the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP).

FRESA is an association composed of juridical entities as Regular Members. Its Founding Member Associations are the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (REBAP), Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards, Inc. (PAREB), National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA), NAR Phils, Inc. (NARPHIL), Pjilippine Association of Realty Consultants and Specialists, Inc. (PARCS), Institute of Philippine Real Estate Appraisers, Inc. (IPREA), Institute of Public Sector Appraisers of the Philippines, Inc. (IPSAP) and Philippine Association of Realty Appraisers, Inc. (PARA). There are no individual regular members in FRESA.

Presently, there more than 28,500 PRC licensed real estate service practitioners. Of this number, PhilRES' Regular Membership base is approximately 9,850+ paid Members In Good Standing strong, while FRESA member associations account for only an aggregate consolidated membership base of approximately 2,800 members only.

This detailed presentation will give readers a better understanding of how and why PhilRES was recognized and accredited as the AIPO for the real estate service by the Professional Regulation Commission and by the Professional Regulatory Board for Real Estate Service pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act 8981 and Republic Act 9646 and PRC Resolution No. 2004-178 Series of 2004 over the other petitioners FRESA and REBAP.
