The image on the previous page was created by a process using technology, illusion and movement. A CCTV camera points at a small piece of circuit board stuck to a wooden plinth. The piece of circuit board, when positioned correctly takes on the ap-pearance of a run-down house. The edge of the wooden plinth creates the horizon line in this hand-made fictional landscape. In between the camera and the circuit board a desktop fan is positioned which affects the image on the television screen giving it movement. The fan makes the landscape come to life making it look as if it was a windy

The image of the Sun rising over the mountain (left page) was viewed via the website ‘Justin.TV’ which steamed a live webcam image. The image on the right page shows what the webcam was looking at (a light bulb) which created the ‘Sun’ part of the image and also the tape over the front of the webcam which created the ‘mountain’ part of the image.

This piece was made for an exhibition where a space became avail-able during a protest in a recently closed local supermarket.

When the CCTV camera is placed in the right position the twigs stuck to the wall look like weather worn trees on a desolate plain. The instal-lation was happening live and there was no movement shown on the television screen . The viewer was cleary able to see the final image created and how it had been created at the same time.
