1. AboutThank you for purchase this theme.Welcome to the revolution of Moodle!Portal is a Moodle theme based in Wordpress themes with purpose to stimulate an best design of Moodle themes and allow that the LMS may have a good design, ally with the great resources of Moodle.

For start we will give some tips to you:- In the Moodle config.php file, add line $CFG -> defaulthomepage = 1 for set My Homepage the default page after login. - Before use Portal settings panel, activate the Moodle Theme designer mode in Site administra-tion -> Appearence -> Themes -> Theme Settings. If this not activated the colors not will change.

Install Portal is so simple. You just need 3 steps and the Portal will be installed.

1 - Unzip the app/portal.zip file2 - Copy the portal folder and paste on youmoodleroot/theme/3 - In Moodle will appears a message to install theme, click ok.

So, are just this! Now the PortalTheme was installed on your Moodle. You can enjoy the new expe-rience on Moodle.

Now you will learn to personalize the Portal of your way.First, always before you open Portal Settings Panel, you should activate the Moodle Theme De-signer Mode.You can do this in: Site Administration -> Appearence-> Theme -> Theme settings and activate the Theme Designer Mode. After your use the Portal Panel you can desactivate the Theme Designer Mode for more performance.

You can access the Portal Settings Panel at Site administration -> Portal or Site administration -> Ap-pearance -> Theme -> Portal.

The Portal Settings Panel is divided in 6 categories: General, Header, Footer, Footer Modules, Frontpage and Social Media.

5. Theme Options

5.1 General

Color SchemeSelect the color scheme of Portal. The options are green, blue, orange and custom. If you select custom, you can choose thecolors on field Custom Color Scheme.

Moodle VersionSelect the version of your Moodle.

Layout StyleSelect the layout style of Portal. The options are Wide, Boxed with Background Color, Boxed with Background Pattern or Boxed with Background Image.

Background ColorSelect the color of background if you selected Boxed with Background Color on Layout Style.

Background PatternSelect the pattern of background if you selected Boxed with Pattern on Layout Style, or use an external pattern of a link.

Background ImageUse a external link of an image for background if you selected Boxed with Image on Layout Style.

Favicon URLUse a external link of an image for favicon.

FontSelect the font style. Options: Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, Lato, Oxygen, Roboto, Ubuntu and Verdana.

Shibboleth LoginActivate the link of shibboleth login in login page.

Guest LoginActivate the login as guest.

SidebarChoose the default side of your sidebar in general pages. The options are Left and Right.

BreadcrumbSelect “ON” to enable Breadcrumb or “OFF” to disable.

Edit Page ButtonSelect “ON” to enable ‘Edit Page Button’ or “OFF” to disable.

Google AnalyticsPut your Google Analytics code to improve your Moodle.

Custom CSSAdd custom CSS to theme.

5.2 Header

HeaderSelect the header

Header Social IconsSelect "ON" to enable Social Icons on HEADER section or "OFF" to disable.

Logo UrlUse a external link for include your logo image. Recommended size: 149x50.

Logo Url BigUse a external link for include your big logo image. Recommended size: 257x87.

Logo HeightSelect logo height.

Header PaddingSelect header padding.

Menu Margin TopSelect margin top of menu.

Register LinkSelect "ON" to enable Register Link on header section or"OFF" to disable.(Need activate Self-Registration in Site administration -> Plugins -> Authentication -> Manage authentication -> Self registration)

You are logged in as USERNAMESelect "ON" to enable "You are logged in as USERNAME" on HEADER section or"OFF" to disable.

Main MenuConfigure you main menu. Click in Add Menu to add one more link. Select ‘Deep 2’ for menu be dropdown in the Menu with ‘Deep 1’ above.

5.3 FooterSelect ModulesYou have three spaces on the footer to use the exclusive Portal Footer Modules.Here you choose the modules for each space: Module 1 (left), Module 2 (center) and Module 3 (right).In the Footer Modules section we will be say about the Footer Modules.

Footer Text/CopyrightThe text who will be show on left side of footer end.

Footer Social IconsSelect "ON" to enable Social Icons on footer section or "OFF" to disable.

5.4 Footer ModulesFooter Modules are an exclusive resource of Portal.With this, you have three spaces to set the Portal Footer Modules who you want.

Below will be presented each modules and your settings:

Use an Image (URL)Recommended size: 200x50.DescriptionPut your description.

5.4.2 LinksInsert useful links on your footer section.

5.5 FrontpageSlideshowSelect "ON" to enable Slideshow on your frontpage or "OFF" to disable.

Slider ContentConfigure your Slider Content.You can click in Add Slide to add one more slide.You should fill slide Title, slide URL, slide Description and slide Image URL. Recommended size: 1350x400.

IntroductionSelect "ON" to enable Introduction on Frontpage site or "OFF" to disable.

Introduction TitleType the title of Introduction.

Introduction TextType the text of Introduction.

Featured CoursesSelect if the featured courses will show on frontpage. Options are on or off.

Course NameChoose the course name that appers in featured courses and my courses sections. Options are shortname and fullname.

5.6 Socials

LinkboxSelect "ON" to enable Link Boxes on your frontpage or "OFF" to disable.

Linkbox ColumnsSelect the number of columns of Linkbox.

Image With TextSelect "ON" to enable Image With Text on Frontpage site or "OFF" to disable.

Image With Text - Background ColorSelect the color of background of block Image with Text.

Image With Text - TextType the text of block Image With Text.

Image With Text - Text AnimationChoose the animation of text of block Image With Text.

Image With Text - ImageType the URL of image of block Image With Text.

Image With Text - Image AnimationChoose the animation of image of block Image With Text.

Show HTML BlocksSelect "ON" to enabled HTML Blocks on your frontpage of "OFF" to disabled.

Linkbox ContentConfigure your Link Boxes Content.You can click in Add Link Box to add one more Link Box.You should fill the title, link, description, animation and class of icon.List of icons: http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/

Here you can choose the social icons who will appears on header and footer when this function are active.If value of social media is not empty, the social media link will be showed. The available social medias are:• RSS• Twitter• Dribbble• Vimeo• Facebook• Facebook• Youtube• Flickr• Google+• Linkedin• Tumblr• Pinterest• Foursquare• Foursquare• Github• Skype• Instagram

Select Your Features CoursesConfigure your featured courses.You can click in Add Featured Course to add one more Featured Courses.You should select the course.The course's image is the image configurated in Moodle course settings in field ‘Course Summary Files’.The recommended size is 295x181.
