NOTE: In many situations "want" or "would like to"
is used in English while it is not neccessary to
state it at all in Thal. For examples:- in giving,
receiving, or buying and selling, we make direct
statements such as "Would you like to buy this book?"
"No, I dontt want to buy this book". litterally
translated, this is:- "khiln jaak ca s/y narjsly lem nli

"t6rjkaan" is another word that is equivalent
to TT want" or "would like" in English. "tosijkaan"
is used when we really need something. It may also
be used when we are speaking formally or when we are
talking over business with someone. Note that "t62j1asn"
is rarely used with the first person pronouns. In Thal,
we use "pham tBrjkaan" only when you are really in need
of something such as "ph6m t62jkaan ijen ciij cirj" but
"phOm 1311a23 lgew pham ca paj noon khrdp" - I am sleepy,

NOTE: Use "9aw - to want" with intimates and inferiors,in asking and answering in situations other thaneating selling and buying.
NOTE: In many situations "want" or "would like to" is used
in Ehglish to explain what one wants something or
wants to do something. In Thai we usually use "want"
or mgould like to have something", but when we want
somethingto do we just state what we want to do.
For examples:-
Do you want to buy a book? sty naljsly maj
I don't want to. maj sfy
Do yau want to eat? thaankhaawmaj
I don't want to. mAj thaan
We would use "want" or "would like to" only when we
want to emphasise our desire to do something.
For examples:-
Do you want to go or to stay? kbun Jaak ea paj /id jlau
I want to stay. pham jaak ca Tau
Observe the usage of njaak" or "jaak ca" in the following
