Product descriptionEMC Storage Resource Management Suite
provides comprehensive monitoring, reporting, and analysis for
heterogeneous block, file, and virtualized storageenvironments. It
enables you to visualize applications to storage dependencies,
monitoranalyze configurations and capacity growth, as well as
optimize your environment toimprove return on
investment.Virtualization enables businesses of all sizes to
simplify management, control costs andguarantee uptime. However,
virtualized environments also add layers of complexity to theIT
infrastructure, that reduce visibility and can complicate the
management of storageresources. Storage Resource Management Suite
addresses these layers-simply-byproviding visibility into the
physical and virtual relationships to ensure consistent
servicelevels. As you build out your cloud infrastructure, SRM

File not found Exceptionentry is found in the EPM log.
Ignore the exception. It is removed on successfulconnection to
the APG webservice.
650764 Alert Consolidation All Alerts report does not show
alertsreceived from external sources if thesystem time of the
source is ahead(later than) the SRM Suite host.
Ensure that the system time of alert sources andSRM Suite are in
sync at all times in order to viewalerts in the All Alerts report
as soon as they areprocessed. The delayed alerts appear in the All
Alerts report aswhen the suite host timestamp crosses the
systemtimestamp of the alert source.

applicable to emailnotifications for alerts consolidated.
Disable the corresponding alert definition in theAlerting

650018 Alert Consolidation Alert consolidation continues to
workafter uninstallation of the followingSolutionPacks:l Brocade FC
Switchl Cisco MDS/Nexusl EMC VMAX
The "Infrastructure Preparation for Discovery andData
Collection" chapter in the EMC StorageResource Management Suite
Installation andConfiguration Guide describes the procedure
forenabling alert consolidation for each alert source.l For Brocade
and Cisco switches, apply the same
procedure used for enabling alert consolidationto disable SNMP
trap forwarding by logging intoeach switch.
l For VMAX, apply the same procedure used forenabling alert
consolidation to disable SNMPtrap forwarding by removing trap
recipient IPsfrom the daemon_options file in therespective
Solutions Enabler (SE).
612178 Alert Consolidation User Datagram Protocol (UDP) nature
ofSNMP traps for VMAX arrays fromSolutions Enabler, the suite fails
toreceive and display some alerts. If atrap is lost in the
networkcommunication, Solutions Enabler isnot aware of the loss and
cannotresend the lost information.
There is not workaround available.
611574 Browser support When using Internet Explorer (IE) 9
theissues are:l In the Login screen, Sign In is
disabled.l In Centralized Management, the
main view and the navigationpanel are blank.
l To enable Sign In in the Login screen, add theSRM Suite URL to
the IE Local Intranet zone.
l To view all Centralized Management features, either disable the
IE Pop-up Blocker, or add theSRM Suite URL to the Pop-up Blocker

612531 End-to-End reports Passive hosts are not reported in
theconnectivity and path details topologyreports for switches and
storagesystems.
Connectivity and path details for passive hosts arereported in
the context of the passive host itself. These reports can be opened
in Explore > PassiveHosts, or by searching for the passive
host.
612528 End-to-End reports When VM is deleted in Virtual
Centerand recreated on a different ESX server,it might be reported
in the topologymaps as related to both the old andnew ESX
servers.
Contact EMC Customer Support for a workaround todisassociate the
VM from the old ESX server.
612514 End-to-End reports Selection of a fabric or VSAN node
inthe map does not display any reports.
You can view reports for the fabric or VSAN byselecting or
searching for it in Explore > SANConnectivity > Fabric.
611981 Web GUI-Frontend Auto-suggest filter does not work

611749 Web GUI-Frontend When a LUN (or any other component)is
remove from an array, it takestwenty-four hours to be excluded
fromthe global reports.
There is no workaround available.
N/A Global CapacityReporting
Certain cells in the report for Symmetrixor CLARiiON arrays are
empty ormissing data for the following reasons:l Discovery of the
arrays takes
longer than 15 minutes.
This is expected behavior. To enable efficient, error-free
discovery, ensure that you:l Restrict only one Symmetrix or
CLARiiON array to
each collector.

l Discovery stopped due to errors. l Check your logs to identify
the cause of anyerrors that are preventing successful discovery, and
correct them.
N/A Global CapacityReporting
Some configuration data for a LUN takeup to three collection
cycles to be set.
There is no workaround available, because this isthe expected
behavior for configuration data of aLUN, as in the case of the
following:l Flags, such as, Is Used, Is Pool Contributor,
and Is Pool Consumerl Attributes, such as, Purpose (Primary,
Local
Replica, Remote Replica, System Resource)l Attributes, such as,
Service Level, Storage
Group NameSRM Suite requires two collection cycles to
computeenterprise capacity metrics (for example, Used,Free,
Primary, Service Level Free) accurately. Inbetween collection
cycles, you can expect thecapacity values to fluctuate.
650102 SolutionPack forBrocade FC Switch
The report issues are:l The Throughput by Fabrics (/s)
report:l Should be renamed to
Throughput by Switch (/s).l Should include the unit of
throughput as million packetsper second (MPPS).
l Displays the throughput datafor only one switch and not
all.
l The All, None, and Autooptions cannot be applied.
l The report description isrepeated twice.
l The Throughput by Port (/s)report:l Does not include the
switches
for which the port data hasbeen generated.
l The legend descriptions are notcomplete.
l The All, None, and Autooptions cannot be applied.
l The report description isrepeated twice.

From the device discovery application, check if theswitch
