WHAT IS TRINITY?

Tertullian 155 to 220 AD

• Introduced the word Trinity

GOD THE FATHER

1COR 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things

and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus

Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we

exist.

WRONG CONCEPT ABOUT THE WORD “FATHER GOD”

• That God the Father is like a male father like human that have a wife – mother God

• God is not human with gender male & female

• Father means Author of life, originator of all things

Jesus always mentions the FATHER

John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and

believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

GOD THE SON

• The word “SON” means “of the same nature”

- it does not mean He has a mother God just because He has a Father God

• The two titles of Jesus

- SON OF GOD &SON OF MAN

DOES THE TRINITY APPEAR IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?

DOES THE TRINITY APPEAR IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?
