ZPass is a student ridership tracking and monitoring system that uses a radio frequency identification device (RFID) on the bus and student cards to track the date, time, and location of each student’s entry and exit from the bus.
Students scan their ZPass Card when they enter and exit the bus.
The student information with the time, date, and location of the scan is instantly available to the school district through the Ground Traffic Control (GTC) web-based fleet management system. The students’ cards contain the child’s name and passive RFID information. There is no other

How?Students carry a card with their name and passive RFID information. As the student enters and exits the bus, they pass the card by a small RFID scanner that beeps as the card is read. The identification information with the time, date, and location of the scan is instantly available to the school district through the Ground Traffic Control web-based fleet management system.
