When rich people travelled through the forest, Robin and his men stopped them and took their gold. They gave some of the gold to poor people and some of the gold to King Richard’s friends. Prince John’s soldiers wanted to find Robin and put him in prison. Robin and his men hid from the soldiers in Sherwood Forest. Robin and his men wore green clothes because green is difficult to see in a forest. In 1194, Richard came out of prison and went back to England.
