Do we really lack confidence?

Page 2: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

“I lack confidence,” a client informed

me. “I need to have it in order to do

my job.”

I’ve known him for awhile and know

he is a dedicated and meticulous

employee.

I got red flagged; something didn’t fit.

Page 3: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

Upon further evaluation and discussion, my

client became more aware* of the fact that

for the last year his new boss required

employees to do more work within the

same amount of time.

*awareness

Page 4: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

My client shared that he and others

informed the boss that what she was

asking them to do was impossible.

She didn’t listen.

Her attitude changed. She became

sarcastic and even undermined some

of their work. One was fired. My

client was waiting for the ax to fall on

him. “When will I get fired, too?”

Page 5: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

“I need confidence to do the job,”

my client stated again.

No he didn’t!

Page 6: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

My client didn’t lack

confidence!

• He needed to become aware

of his unique design.

• And then do whatever it takes to

find freedom to live within its

limitations.

Page 7: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

Freedom within Limitations???

• We better realize that we have

limitations!

• When we do not, we burn-out.

• Then we will lack confidence!

• My client’s body & mind were limited in

that they were not designed to

accomplish what his boss demanded.

• At first it was difficult for him to

acknowledge that he was not a super

hero; he was a human being.

Page 8: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

• My client was not designed to be

consistently harassed and

demeaned.

• My client was not designed to work

65 to 70 hours a week and maintain

a home, and maintain great

relationships with his family and

friends.

Page 9: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

It was no wonder that my client was

tired, depressed and anxious!

That’s exactly how normal human

beings respond when they are forced

to live outside their designs!

Page 10: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

He didn’t listen to his body’s, his

being’s, CRY for help.

He began to drink instead.

Page 11: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

• My client had not hired me to help

with any of that.

• Remember he hired me to help him

regain his confidence!

• His problem, like I said, was NOT

lack of confidence!

• His problem was that he was not in

touch with his own design!

Page 12: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

• My client Found Freedom.

• He began to LIVE his design.

Page 13: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

Freedom is not free!

Someone always pays for it!

Page 14: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

My client PAID for his FREEDOM!

• To his boss he said, “NO!”

• He was fired.

• After a few months he found another job.

My client’s salary decreased

by $10,000 a year.

Page 15: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

He had to lose in order to gain.

• Instead of working over 70 hours a week,

he now works 55.

• He’s back to working out.

• He’s back to eating healthy foods.

• He’s not only becoming physically fit,

he’s becoming emotionally and mentally

fit as well.

• He now spends quality time with his

friends & family.

Page 16: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

• Sometimes we do lack confidence.

There are many reasons for that.

• At other times, lacking confidence is

not the root of the problem.

• The problem is that we’re living

outside of our unique designs –

attempting to do, think and feel in

ways that are incongruent with who

we are.

• When that happens, its no wonder

we lack confidence! That’s a

natural consequence!

Page 17: Do we REALLY Lack Confidence???

Are we willing to lose in order to

gain . . .

Physical, Emotional,

Spiritual, Mental

FREEDOM?

When we are, we’ll have confidence

and so much more!
