SOTM: Students of the

Month were recognized in

March and April for

attendance.

DMS College Probe: The DMS College Probe Fair occurred the week of April 11th and was created for students to gain valuable knowledge concerning college readiness. Mrs. Leshore’s goal (DMS Graduation Coach) is “to get students and parents to begin thinking critically about post-secondary education. Although students have ambitious educational and career aspirations, many lack basic information about how to fulfill their post-secondary goals. Many students and their parents fail to plan because they do not have the essential information resources, personal support networks, and structured programs they need to effectively perform educational and post-secondary planning activities”.

Ms. Leshore would like to thank Dr. Madden for allowing the event to take place at DMS and Mrs. Withers for the use of the media center. She would also like to thank Dr. Taiesha Adams from the Henry County Board Office, Mr. Ronald Cetoute from Albany State University, and Ms. Crystal Cohen from Communities in Schools for volunteering their time to assist her with this event.
