DM Orthotics provide comprehensive training events FREE OF CHARGE for professionalswishing to learn more about dynamic movement orthoses or to gain accreditation to prescribe. Training sessions are tailored to the needs of the client group and are conducted bymembers of our expert Clinician Team. All courses are held at the participants' local clinic.

This introductory presentation provides a basic understanding in the theoretical principles behind DynamicMovement Orthotics. It gives an overview of the biomechanical and neurological theory behind the use of the orthotics. Participants will learn from case studies and the hands-on experience of DM Orthotics to gainan understanding of how the DMO's can improve function. Includes certificate of attendance.

This course is aimed to provide participants with the in-depth knowledge to competently assess, measure and prescribe appropriate Dynamic Movement Orthoses for their patients. Includes writtenand practical assessment leading to accreditation as a prescribing practitioner which is valid for twoyears. Follow-up supported clinics are provided as part of this course at no fee.

Designed for those professionals who have undertaken a measuring and prescription course within the last two years and are looking to update and refresh their knowledge and skills. Includes assessment, follow-up clinics and is valid for two years.

DM Orthotics refresher course in measuring and prescribing

Duration: Participants:Half day Orthotists, OTs, Physiotherapists

The use of dynamic fabric orthoses in the management of scoliosis is a relatively new concept and is unique to DM Orthotics. Our pioneering research into this area has provided invaluable insight into how the use of dynamic fabric orthoses can be an effective alternative treatment for a wide range ofscoliosis presentations.

By the end of this course, participants will have an in-depth knowledge of idiopathic and neurologicalonset scoliosis. You will learn how to assess and prescribe appropriate tailored scoliosis suits withspinal correction panels. Includes written assessment, follow-up clinics and certification to measure,valid for two years.
