DIMENSIONS & DISCLAIMER:
Please double check the overall dimensions for your specific build before starting.
The measurements provided for this specific plan were built to DIY Huntress’ personal specifications (5’1” tal l individual with a 10 x 18”
5-Speed Central Machinery Benchtop Lathe).
To find the appropriate height of your lathe stand, hold up your arm and pretend you're turning. Keep your arm where it is and measure
from your hand to the floor. Now measure your lathe from the bottom to the middle of the chuck. Subtract that number from the overall
height number -- that's how high your stand should be!
Also, if you add casters, make sure to subtract the height of the casters from the number you just got.

THE STEPS:
STEP 1
Cut ½” wide, ¼” deep grooves down the middle of each of the legs. You wil l only need grooves on one side of each leg. This wil l be where
the 2/4” plywood panels wil l be installed later.
Note: Make sure to test the thickness of your grooves with the plywood prior to assembly – because no piece of plywood is perfect,
you may need to modify the width of your grooves.
