Work skills, Social skills and Life skills

DIYA Foundation

• Established in 1999• Present strength 45 Trainees and 18 staff• Provides training in Daily Living Skills, Social/Personal

Skills and Work skills through seven training options: – Candle making– Chocolate making– Office skills training/data entry– Papier mache products– Screen Printing– Packaging– Gardening

• Also provides paid employment with ongoing supervision through a Sheltered Workshop.

Corporate Cares Your company creates a team (of up to 30 runners)

and contributes Rs.1,75,000/- to DIYA Foundation

Diya’s 5 year plan

Stability and permanence of Diya Foundation by establishing permanent premises;

Increasing Diya’s impact on the differently abled population in Bangalore in the next two years by increasing the reach and capacity of the training programme;

Ensuring that the trained differently abled find employment within the environment that Diya plans to nurture: Self help groups - families of our differently abled trainees form

SHGs involved in businesses employing our trainees; A social enterprise promoted by Diya to employ our trainees;
