Box Sync Inc. is developing a new kind of social communications platform that enables people who are separated by time, distance or circumstances to build close, personal relationships, even in the absence of direct contact. Through secure, curated and shared “BoxS”, the thoughts, feelings and memories of estranged family members, separated friends or an individual's descendants can be saved, shared and protected forever.

The company is able to achieve these goals through the creation of a proprietary online system that integrates the main products known as TreasureBoxS©, LegacyBoxS©, MemorialBoxS© and GroupBoxS©.

TreasureBoxS© consists of a specific and easy to use set of tools designed to improve relationships that have been affected by separation. This can be due to divorce, loss, foster care, job relocation and many other scenarios. Sadly, this need exceeds 33 million families in North America alone.

TreasureBoxS© facilitates hope within all these groups that often are affected by circumstances out of their control. It empowers both the parent and child to identify and capture moments and feelings they wish to share in order to build the relationship in a safe and secure environment. The BoxS evolve with the users and assists in identifying needs while bridging bonds that have been affected by time and distance. The experience promotes understanding and enables the healing process within both, the relationship and the individual.

With time, the TreasureBox system can become a very effective and meaningful co-parenting tool that adds depth and understanding to a child's perspective of their relationships, that in turn, can effect many generations to come via their children and grandchildren.

USE CASE STUDYUNDERSTANDING THE NEED

Divorced Parents Non-Amicable

Steve Jones lives in San Marcos, California. He is divorced from Debbie, and they have two children, Tom and Mary. The divorce was not amicable, and through the divorce process, Debbie limited Steve’s access to the children. Steve’s job required him to move out of the area, further complicating

his ability to interact with his children.

Steve’s attempts to engage his children via telephone have been unsuccessful, and he is unsure whether or not gifts, cards and letters are being delivered to his children by his ex-wife.

Steve does not want the children to think that he does not care about them, but understands that the only way to prove to them that he is attempting contact is to take pictures of the gifts, cards and letters and upload them to a place where his kids will be able to view them online, either immediately or in the future.

Steve signs up with BoxS, creates a Legacy Box, and uploads images, video and stories, and then creates a Treasure BoxS for each child. He attaches content to each Treasure BoxS and shares them to his son and daughter respectively. Because his kids are not yet 13, he sends an invite to Debbie, letting her know that the TbS exists, and requests that she let his children know.

Debbie can then log in to the BoxS site and view the Treasure BoxS that has been created. She cannot edit or add to the content, but she is aware that an archive is created, and Steve hopes that this will entice her to show the Treasure BoxS to his kids, and that she will begin to share the gifts and letters he is sending.

When the kids come of age, Steve can then invite them to view the Treasure BoxS directly by sending them an email.

In this case, Debbie ignores Steve’s request to show the kids the content he has created. When Tom is sixteen, he hears from another relative that Steve has placed a Treasure BoxS on BoxS for him. He logs on to the site, searches for Steve, reaches out to him. Steve then sends another request, this time directly to Tom, who then logs in to the site to view the content Steve has shared for him.

She sees that there are Treasure BoxS for each of the children, reviews the content to make sure that it is appropriate, and walks the children through the content. They are able to comment on the content, and Steve is able to communicate and archive his interactions for future viewing.

Every user on Box Sync, Inc. sites, including Affiliate Channel will be required to create a free Member Page in order to interact in any way. This allows us to track our users, their associations, comments, etc., helping to ensure the integrity and safety of all our members.

Admin assigned users (Affiliate) will have full control over all aspects of the Member Page, Legacy BoxS and Treasure BoxS they are assigned to.The Member page can be set to visible or not-visible, thereby making the Member Page searchable by other users or not detected. In the case of “not detected” Member will not have the ability to receive invites but may send Friend Requests.

Legacy BoxS is an online resource for people to create a visual and written representation of themselves that will live on forever.

Unlike online memorials, which are created after someone passes, Legacy BoxS are for people to record their own life stories through favorite pictures, journal entries and much more. Over thousands of years, generations have passed down

stories and mementos to their children, but in this culture that is inundated with technology, we have yet to establish a tool to collect them digitally for this purpose.

A Community Celebration and Discovery of a Life Past

Memorial BoxS is an online resource for people to contribute and create a visual, audio and written representation of the life of a loved one or friend that has passed away. Memorial BoxS were designed to be contributed to by all of the friends and family of the Memorial Box owner, in order to capture the entire story of a special life.

Memorial BoxS can be updated daily with the thoughts, stories and media from the family and friends of the Memorialized. Sharing of one’s thoughts, connecting and communicating with family and friends help to assist individuals in recovering from the difficult loss of a loved one.

Every Memorial Box has an assigned administer who has full control over the final contents.

A family or group of people may contribute to the Memorial Box of someone who has passed such as a fallen soldier, family member or a long passed relative to honor their memories and pass their life story on to future generations.
