In line with the Policy Guidelines on the Administration of the Revised Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) stipulated in the DepEd Order No.14, s.2018, and with the clarion call of assessing performance tasks and Integrated Language Arts Domains in English as stated in the Policy Guidelines on K to 12 Program Classroom-Based Assessment, this Office announces the conduct of Division Training-Workshop on Assessing English Macro-Skills and Performance Tasks in the Elementary and Secondary Level. 2. The training aims to: • Update teachers on the latest policy guidelines on the administration of Phil-IRI; • Provide authentic learning assessment tools to measure the learners' performance tasks and the integrated language arts domains in English; • Prepare performance tasks, remedial and enrichment activity sheets for Grade 1-10 aligned with the latest English Curriculum Guides; and • Conduct demo-teaching and critiquing sessions to apply and validate the proposed assessment tools. 3. Participants and dates of the training are the following: Dates Participants Venue May 23-25,2018 One (1) English Teacher per Secondary School Mariano Ponce National May 28-30, 2018 Two (2) per District High School, Baliwag (1 Master Teacher, 1 District English Coordinator) 4. All participants are required to bring Laptop, Pocket WIFI, and extension cords to be used during the workshop sessions. 5. All teacher-participants, resource speakers, facilitators, and non-teaching staff committee members shall be given service credits/Compensatory Time Off (CTO).

6. Enclosure No. 1 contains the training matrix, list of resource speakers, and the members of the work
committees for reference perusal. .
7. All expenses to be incurred in the conduct of this training shall be charged against Division INSET Fund,
while the transportation allowance of the participants shall be taken from the local school funds subject
to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
8. Compliance with and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
