Student Affairs Mission Statement

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs at Ferris State University is to promote, support, and complement the academic mission of the institution by working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to create and extend student services and student learning opportunities outside the classroom.

•Generate positive media coverage for Transfer Student and Military Veterans Scholarships.

•Conduct more cold student prospect market research.

•Support a planning task force recommendation to improve transfer student admissions.

•Acquire funding to create additional student recruitment materials.

•Support student recruitment by acquiring funding to produce recruitment video for 2006-2007.

2. 2005-2006 Assessment Report Assessment serves as the “bridge” between the Annual Report

and the Annual Work Plan. Directors send completed Student Affairs Assessment

Form(s) in .PDF format to Sherry Hayes: [email protected].

3. 2006-2007 Annual Work Plan (Format to be determined.) What you plan to do during fiscal year 06, based on an

evaluation of what you did in fiscal year 05.

VP will meet with Directors to discuss (1) Annual Report, (2) Assessment Report and (3) Annual Work Plan.

July 1 New fiscal year begins. Work Plan/Assessment cycle continues.
